Celeste was "born" into dogs as her Grandma started breeding and showing CKC registered English Setter's in the 80s and her Dad continued the program. We continue to love and breed English Setter's, we currently have Venus and Elektra. When Owyn & Celeste met it was Owyn's dream to have a dachshund, so through the dog show world we made connections and relationships and waited for the right time and the right puppy. In 2017 when we purchased our first home we knew it was time to add to our family. In fall of 2017 we added Phoebe to our family and could not imagine our lives without a dachshund in it ever again, Phoebe stole our hearts. In 2020 we welcomed our daughter into the world, who is the biggest helper and already a huge dog lover. In 2020 we also decided it was time to breed Phoebe and had our first litter of three puppies in October of 2020.

Our main focus will always be to breed family pets with excellent temperaments and health. We always hope to breed a puppy that we can do well with in the show ring and that will enjoy other dog sports such as rally and barn-hunt. Before going home we have socialization as a top priority to ensure that puppy's go home ready to take on the world. All puppies are matched to families after we complete the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test. We prefer families who are interested in doing dog sports with their puppy or are interested in dabbling in the dog show world. Before any family is considered for our puppy list they must fill out our Questionnaire which can be requested by emailing celestebennett@shaw.ca

Outside of SunHunde, Celeste and her parents Shawn and Nadeen own and operate Winnipeg's highest rated dog daycare, hotel and grooming facility with three locations in Winnipeg. Our lives truly revolve around dogs.

Since our priority will always be health and our dogs being our family members, we typically only have 1 litter per year.

Celeste is a Canadian Kennel Club Member and is also a member of the Manitoba & North Western Ontario Dachshund Club.
